Wet scrubbers can solve many of the air emissions problems during both the chemical and material handling processes used in mining and mineral extraction. Dust created during classifying operations for precious metals can be effectively controlled with the use of wet venturi scrubbers. Our model MTV multi-throat venturis have been used successfully in gold and silver recovery operations. Countercurrent packed towers are effective devices for removal of hydrogen cyanide gas (HCN) evolved from metal dissolving/separation processes. Multi-stage Acid/NOx systems can eliminate opacity problems from precious metal recovery systems that use aggressive aqua-regia and other acid solutions.
