Waste Water Treatment
Wet scrubber technology is still considered the most reliable and flexible method for dealing with the variety of odorous compound odors from waste treatment facilities, particularly odors associated with waste water and composting operations. Single and multi-stage countercurrent scrubbers can achieve high-efficiency removal of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, and methyl sulfides. When compared to biofiltration, wet scrubbers have a very small footprint and can handle high concentrations of sulfides with no adverse effects. The units can be shut down and restarted in a matter of minutes with no concern for media drying or bacteria regeneration. With over 30 years experience in both industrial and municipal odor control, Verantis can help you select the best scrubbing technology for your facility. We have extensive pilot and field test data showing how scrubbers designed with Tellerette® Tower Packing can be operated at increased velocity further reducing both size and cost. Our AMCA rated CLUB series FRP fans have been used with wet scrubbing systems, biosystems, and carbon absorption systems to provide highly-reliable, long term operation.
