Verantis Webinar PDH Information, Guidelines and State Information

A list of the most relevant issues related to PDH credits on a state by state basis is provided below.

Verantis webinars have been developed to further the knowledge our staff, representatives, vendors, and customers.  Our webinars are available live or on demand if you want to attend at time that is more convenient to you.

Professional Engineer (PE)

Engineers that have obtained a Professional Engineer License (PE) are required to take continuing education courses to renew and maintain the validity of their license. Most PE programs are maintained/managed through state monitoring.  Each state has a different set of guidelines that must be followed but most manage their continuing education by recording/submitting Professional Development Hours (PDH). These hours are all handled differently and it is important that you educate yourself on what is required for your state.

Verantis is pleased to be able to provide engineering related coursework and professional development hours through many of its webinars.  A one hour webinar typically provides the attendee with one PDH unit. A list of the most relevant issues related to the PDH on a state by state basis is provided below as well as a website link to those state’s detailed requirements.  Verantis has made every attempt to provide the most up to date and accurate listing of state requirements but it is still up to you to verify if a course meets your state’s requirements. For example, some states will only allow a set number of hours be obtained through webinars or other online activities. Once you have reach the maximum allowed, other courses will not be accepted.

The state providers listed do not pre-approve courses and activities; however to the best of our knowledge this course/activity meets the continuing education requirements outlined in the state’s guidelines.  Final discretion is up to each governing board.

Verantis will:

  1. Maintain a log of all attendees for 6 years. You must attend the entire webinar and complete the quiz at the end to receive credit for taking the course.  Some states do not require completion of a quiz but we do for consistency and credibility of the course. Please read your state’s requirements for confirmation.
  2. Provide a certificate of completion.
  3. Administer a quiz and record passing results.

Most state websites provide downloadable tracking sheets with requirements listed for you to track your own classes. Many times these sheets will be required to be turned in to the state. Verantis suggests you use these sheets to assist you with tracking and storing the required materials.

Please note, if your state is not listed, Verantis is not able to provide PDH units at this time but we are working on getting all of the states covered for the future.
